Background Information:
Control valves in the water distribution system must be maintained by exercising them open and
closed. This valve exercise program will ensure that not just critical valves but all system valves are accessible, operational and in good working order. The "Valve Exercise Program" will identify, log and generate a work order on all broken or hard to operate valves for prompt repair. A good valve exercise program will ensure that valves will operate when needed to control water flow during an emergency or maintenance.
