Background Information:
In mid-August, it was discovered that the sewer line under the San Marcos Police Department was functioning at a bare minimum level and subject to backup. The sewer line serves the only female officer shower area and is therefore an essential element of operations. The repairs required immediate action to mitigate an imminent health and safety impact. Subsequent to work beginning, the sewer line was found to be in worse condition than expected which required substantially more tunneling and pipe repair.
