Background Information:
The action requested is to reject the single bid for construction obtained for the River Road Pavement and Bank Stabilization Project. The bid received exceeds the project budget and there has been a delay in permitting from Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR). Rejection of the bid will allow staff to resolve the UPRR permitting, address project scope/funding and rebid the project hopefully soliciting additional bidders.
The project is located on River Road at the Union Pacific Railroad underpass, approximately one-half mile northeast of the Highway 80 intersection. This area has been subjected to heavy erosion along the side of the road where it meets the Blanco River. Conc...
