Background Information:
The City entered an interlocal agreement with Canyon Regional Water Authority (CRWA) for the treatment of water from the Hays-Caldwell Water Treatment Plant (H-C WTP), located along on the San Marcos river just outside of Martindale, TX. The City has 1,314 acre-feet of water in the San Marcos river whose take point was moved to the H-C WTP inlet to allow CRWA to treat the water and deliver to a San Marcos pipeline for transmission to the City's potable water system for distribution.
