Background Information:
Representatives from the City's Emergency Management Office have been in discussions with representatives from San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (SMCISD) regarding facility usage during times of emergencies. Both entities agree that it would be mutually beneficial to enter a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) allowing use of designated District facilities by the City as an alternative evacuation shelter in the event of an emergency or disaster.
