Background Information:
During the development of the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget, City Council received a request from Splash Coworking for $250,000 over an 18-month period to create a small business development program. Staff received direction to include the funds for this request in the budget, and the budget was approved in September 2022.
The development of this program is proposed to be implemented by the Riparius Foundation, a non-profit organization associated with Splash Coworking. The attached proposal was developed by Riparius after multiple discussions with staff.
This item is a change in service with the Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP), and Riparius will serve as a subcontractor to complete the duties outlined in the proposal.
