Background Information:
The Fire Training Facility is the last building to be built from 2017 bond funds. The scope of the project includes construction of a non-occupied first responder training structure; a residential-scale building of approximately 3,148 square feet of floor area with two floors and an attic of approximately 1,381 square feet.
On May 12, 2022, the City received six (6) bids for Fire Training Facility IFB #221-156. Bids were solicited in accordance with City Purchasing Policy and Local Government Code. City staff and the design consultant have reviewed the bids and recommend award to Tegrity Contractors, Inc., Austin, Texas on the basis of lowest responsible responsive bid in the Base Bid and Contingency amount of $2,777,777.00.
