Background Information:

This is a Change in Service to the agreement (220-227) with Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. for design upgrades to the Comanche Pump Station.  This project originated from the 2015 and 2020 Water Master Plans. The work is to upgrade and increase capacity of the four pumps in the pump station. Larger capacity pumps are needed to increase supply to the La Cima development as demand increases over the next several years.  In addition to the pumps, the work will also include upgrades to electrical and mechanical components and review weatherization needed to be resilient against extreme climate conditions like those experienced in February of this year.

 

Preliminary engineering was started in June of 2020. This Change in Service allows for continuance of the detailed design for the improvements. The estimated construction cost is $1.5M with construction completion anticipated in 2023.
