Background Information:
The Marriott Residence Inn is a 5-story, 117-room hotel located on Commercial Loop. The building was permitted in 2017. The hotel is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to sell beer and wine for on premise consumption

The proposal includes both a bar/ serving area as well as a kiosk style "market" selling beer and wine in the lobby of the hotel. Guests may also consume purchased beer and wine on the outdoor patio area that will have seating for 14 people. The applicant's agent has noted there will be outdoor speakers on the patio.

The building is located within between two existing hotels - an alcohol CUP was approved for the neighboring Courtyard by Marriott in 2014, and extended in 2018 (CUP-18-20). The Baymont Inn & Suites does not have an alcohol CUP.
