BACKGROUND:
Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 143.006 outlines the appointment of Commissioners to the Civil Service Commission. This appointment is made by the City Manager with confirmation of the City Council. Kathy Martinez-Prather was appointed to the Civil Service Commission on September 2018 to fill a term which expires February 28. 2021. The City Manager has re-appointed Kathy Martinez-Prather to a three-year term subject to confirmation of the City Council.
