Background Information:
During the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council held on January 19, 2021, a majority of the Council provided direction to staff for this discussion item to be scheduled for the February 2, 2021 Council meeting. The purpose of this discussion is to allow Council to consider and discuss the passage of one or more emergency orders related to slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the San Marcos community. More specifically, the purpose of this discussion is to determine the will of the Council with regard to the passage of emergency orders that would be more restrictive on our citizens and certain businesses than what is currently provided in the standing Governor's Orders.
