Fiscal Note:
Prior Council Action: The Council created TIRZ 2 with the adoption of Ordinance 2005-17 March 1, 2005.  Appointments are needed to fill all positions on the Board of Directors. During the fiscal year 2021 budget process staff presented to council the TIRZ #2 - Blanco Vista developer payoff.  The TIRZ board is needed to take action on this item.

Background Information:

TIRZ 2

The board consists of 5 City appointments nominated and appointed by the Mayor, with approval of the Council. Two positions are reserved for other taxing units levying taxes within the zone, each of whom appoint one director.

 

We are seeking appointments to fill the following vacancies:

 

The City Council will also need to nominate and appoint a member to serve as chair for a term of one year.  The City Council authorizes the Board of Directors to elect from its members a vice chair and such other officers as the Board of Directors determines.

 

Members appointed to odd position serve a two-year term and those appointed to even positions serve a one-year term.
