Background Information:
The City is authorized by the Local Government Code, Chapter 271, and by the "Interlocal Cooperation Act", Texas Government Code, Chapter 791, to participate in cooperative purchasing programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness of local government purchasing and contracting.

This interlocal agreement with North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) will allow the City of San Marcos to utilize contracts with NCTCOG's vendors to provide goods and services in the best interest and best value to the City of San Marcos.
