Background Information:
The current carpet at the Activity Center is 14 years old and is in dire need of replacement. The project includes removal and disposal of old carpet and purchase and installation of new carpet.
The City is authorized by the Local Government Code, Chapter 271, to participate in cooperative purchasing programs therefore, a contract for the purchase and installation of carpet is being awarded to Mohawk Carpet Distribution, Inc., located in Calhoun, Georgia, for the amount of $86,639.46, through the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative program, contract #561-18.
