Background Information:
In May of 2017, San Marcos voters approved multiple bond projects including several public safety projects including the relocation of the existing Fire Station #2 to another more suitable site within the city and the design and construction of a new Fire Station #6 to be located on a parcel of donated land within the Trace subdivision on the South end of the city. A station location study conducted in 2014 by Mike Pietsch Consultants determined the ideal location for a new Station 2 to be at the intersection of WonderWorld Dr and Old Ranch Rd 12.
