Background Information:

The City’s General Services Department has identified five rooves that are in need of full or partial replacement.  Rooves are as follows:

 

                     Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Building at the San Marcos Regional Airport Roof Replacement - $178,580.54.  The CAF roof will be covered in part by insurance.

                     Police Department Roof Replacement - $206,903.21.  The Police Department Roof will be replaced as a result of hail damage and will be covered by insurance. 

                     Charles S. Cock House Roof Replacement - $33,291.57.  The Cock House roof replacement will be covered by insurance.

                     Fire Station #1 Roof Replacement - $31,014.12.  Fire Station #1 roof replacement due to age. Funds are identified in CIP budget.

                     Fire Station #5 Partial Roof Replacement - $12,107.12.  Fire Station #5 rear portion of the building will be replaced to alleviate multiple leaks.

 

City Staff recommends award of the five contracts to Ultimate Roofing Systems, Cedar Park, Texas in the amounts above.  These contract awards are made through the TIPS (The Interlocal Purchasing System) Cooperative Contract 2092415 as authorized by Texas Local Government Code Chapter 271.102 which authorizes the City to participate in cooperative purchasing programs.
