Background Information:
As a member of the ARWA, the City of San Marcos has contracted for water from the Carrizo Aquifer from the ARWA to deliver treated water to the SMRWTP. The GBRA holds groundwater leases permitted to pump water from the Carrizo Aquifer and has contracted with the ARWA to treat and deliver this water to the SMRWTP. The City and GBRA recognize improvements are needed at the SMRWTP to store and pump the Carrizo water to our respective customers.
