The third phase, Pump Station Improvements Project, is located off Animal Shelter Road at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. This project replaces three (3) existing turbine pumps to generate a more robust system. Installation of new pumps will also include two (2) Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in the existing Motor Control Center (MCC), valves, discharge piping, electrical and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) controls, complete in place.
On June 20, 2019, the City received three (3) bids for the Reclaimed Water Expansion Project - Pump Station Improvements, #219-277, in accordance with City Purchasing Policy and Local Government Code. City staff, along with the assistance of the project Engineer, Kenneth Tillman, P.E. of RPS evaluated bids, and recommend award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Keystone Construction, located in Austin, Texas, in the amount of $892,060.00
