Master Plan

Background Information:
The San Marcos City Cemetery, founded in 1874, is located on approximately forty-five (45) acres at 1001 Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos, Texas. The cemetery is the burial ground for many Texas pioneers and veterans of wars dating back to the War of 1812. The City of San Marcos assumed ownership of the cemetery in the late 1970s.

The existing cemetery management software has expired. On April 25, 2019, the City received five (5) proposals in response to a request for proposal 219-061 for Cemetery Management Software. A City-staffed evaluation committee reviewed all proposals and determined Pontem Software, Inc., Jackson, Michigan, which was the previous software provider, to be the best value based on the relative importance of price, experience, and all other evaluated factors as stated in the Solicitation.
