Background Information:

According to the Texas Election Code Section 3.005 (c)(2), the Statutory last day to call the General Election of the City of San Marcos is August 19, 2019.  Due to the time sensitive nature of this Ordinance, it is being approved on Emergency and will have only one reading.  The Countywide Early Voting and Election Day polling places will not be set by the Hays County Commissioners Court until August 13.  I will be bringing a separate ordinance on August 20th to set those.
