Background Information:

This discussion item was placed on the agenda by Mayor Jane Hughson.

The EDSM Board was created in 2005 and has had their composition amended twice since it’s creation.  Most recently on November 2, 2015 when the composition was amended to redue the membership from 13 to 12 members, 8 of which must reside in the City of San Marcos, removed the Mayor and a Citizen at Large position by adding a Small Business Owner position (that is a resident of the City), and the Greater San Marcos Partnership President as an ex-officio, non-voting member.
