Background Information:
The scope of this contract is the milling of two inches of existing asphalt on multiple City of San Marcos Streets to support the City’s overlay projects.
On December 18, 2018 the City received three (3) bids for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Master Contract for Surface and Edge Milling, #218-410. IDIQ contracts are used when the precise quantities or scopes of works cannot be determined at the time of bidding. Work assignments are issued as individual project scopes materialize. Bids were solicited in accordance with City Purchasing Policy and Local Government Code. City staff reviewed the bids and recommend award to Alpha Paving Industries, LLC, Round Rock, Texas on the basis of lowest total cost. Work will be assigned by Work Order as needed.
