Background Information:

The City of San Marcos WIC Program has been a member agency of The Village of San Marcos since 2009, with the goal of co-locating non-profit service providers. With a combination of private and public funds and donations, the Village Main building is nearing completion. With the approval of this lease agreement, WIC administration and San Marcos clinic services will relocate to Village Main to be housed with the Family Justice Center, Any Baby Can/ECI, and Community Action. CFPO sports league already operates on the Village property, and Hays County Food Bank hopes to build there soon.

The WIC lease is for 20 years with a $1 annual charge. Pass-through operating costs will be adjusted annually and are estimated at $1,367 per month for the first year. This amount is comparable to what WIC currently pays rent and utilities in San Marcos (lease from Hays County). All WIC Program expenses are reimbursed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commmission.
