Background Information:
This FY2019 Agreement continues the Animal Shelter regional partnership. This agreement with the City of Kyle increases Kyle’s reimbursement to the City from $71,468 in FY2018 to $141,881 in 2019. Separate ILAs are being presented for each of our 3 partners: Hays County, Kyle, and Buda.
This Interlocal Agreement contains similar terms to the one approved by the City Council in 2006, but is a new contract and contains language identifying the current situation wherein the partners will work toward a new comprehensive update to the language defining the regional partnership. This contract addresses animal seizures involving more than ten animals. Additionally, language was added to address pro rating if a new contract is not in place by the end of the fiscal year.
