Background Information:
The City of San Marcos is authorized by the Local Government Code, Chapter 271, to participate in cooperative purchasing programs. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Department of Information Resources (DIR) awarded a contract (DIR-TSO-3676) to G4 Spatial Technologies for IT based land surveying products and services.

The 9 GPS units will be used by the Public Services Department to manage the City of San Marcos utilities infrastructure to provide an acceptable standard of service to the community.
