Background Information:
At their regular meeting on August 21, 2018 City Council provided direction to staff to amend the Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment process to remove the twice per year limit on the number of times applications for Preferred Scenario Map Amendments can be considered. Council indicated they did not wish to miss opportunities for development and felt that the waiting period may hinder smaller developers.
* The proposed change will allow Preferred Scenario Amendment requests to be submitted and considered any time of year, without limitation.

At the August 25, 2018 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 8-0 to recommend denial of the proposed change.
