Background Information:

The scope of this project includes drainage improvements as well as new sidewalks and trails.  The improvements were developed after meeting with representatives from both HOA’s in the El Camino neighborhood.  This phase includes replacing approximately 850 linear feet of decomposed granite trail with concrete and the addition of approximately 900 linear feet of new concrete trail.  The existing decomposed granite trail has been susceptible to erosion from flooding and has been difficult to maintain.  The proposed concrete section will mitigate flooding and maintenance issues and make the park more usable during and following inclement weather.  Future improvements for the park will include two (2) pavilions and numerous picnic tables.

 

On September 4, 2018 the City received seven (7) bids in accordance with City purchasing policy and local government code.  Bids were reviewed by Community Services staff and Brent Luck, PLA of Luck Design Team.  Staff recommends award to T.F. Harper & Associates, LP for the base bid in the amount of $152,070.07.
