Background Information:
The Project Scope includes the reconstruction of Mill Street from south of the intersection of Mill Street and Uhland Road to the north; to tie to the new section previously constructed. Scope includes full depth pavement reconstruction, drainage improvements, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, traffic control, intersection improvements at Mill St and Uhland Rd, landscaping and irrigation and waterline relocations.
The project is expected to go into construction in November 2018. Anticipated construction completion timeline is September 2019.
On September 10, 2018 the City received four bids for the Mill Street Roadway Reconstruction Project IFB 218-008 in accordance with City purchasing policy and local government regulation. Upon review of submitted bids, City Engineering Staff and design engineer Joseph Zhu, P.E. of Unintech Consulting Engineers, Inc. recommend award to M.A. Smith Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $2,419,619.05.
