Background Information:

This is a contract for testing, inspection, and minor repairs of approximately eight hundred and eleven (811) Current Transformer meters.  The initial term of the contract is for two (2) years, with a one (1) year option to extend.  The first year of this contract of the two-year term will be for an amount not to exceed $36,000.00, and the second year for an amount not to exceed $35,992.47. The second year of the contract and the option one-year term, if exercised, will be initiated by a notice of contract renewal by the Purchasing Manager.  The contract will be effective on October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2020.

Recommendation: 

On August 16, 2018, one (1) bid was received for Current Transformer Meter Testing, Inspection and Minor Repairs Bid # 218-316. Alan Williams, Utilities Metering Manager, reviewed the bids, and in consideration of vendor knowledge, experience and repair service and the bid of $71,992.47 recommends award to Texas Meter & Device Company, located in Waco, Texas.
