CITY COUNCIL GOAL: Economic Vitality and Responsible Finances
BACKGROUND:
The Greater San Marcos Partnership (GSMP) is a public-private partnership established to enhance and diversify the San Marcos area economy by supporting quality growth in targeted sectors of the economy, optimizing the local talent base and promoting San Marcos as a location for business. GSMP is focused on executing the strategies laid out by Vision 2020, a five-year strategic plan to drive economic development in the region, adopted in 2015.
The City of San Marcos is a Lead Investor in the Greater San Marcos Partnership. Adriana Cruz, GSMP President, will provide an update on the organization’s activities.
