Consider approval of Resolution 2017-171R, approving the recommendation of the San Marcos Commission on Children and Youth to allocate $25,000.00 in 2016-2017 Fiscal Year funding for 5 Youth Programs that contribute to implementation of the Youth Master Plan; authorizing the City Manager to take such actions as are necessary to enable such allocation of funds; and declaring an effective date.

BACKGROUND:
This is our second round of Youth Services Funding for 2016-2017 FY. The San Marcos Commission on Children and Youth (SMCCY) voted to approve $5,000 to each of the five programs, as they fulfill Priority Areas in the Youth Master Plan. In the future, the SMCCY voted to hold one funding round per year and focus on seeking out programs that are still a need in the community.
