BACKGROUND: In 2014, the City Council amended Section 2.566 of the City Code to authorize former City Manager, Jared Miller to approve change orders to city contracts of $50,000 or less. The ordinance specifically included Mr. Miller’s name as the city manager authorized to approve such change orders.
Mr. Miller is no longer with the city so it is necessary to amend the ordinance to remove his name and replace it with the name of the current city manager, Bert Lumbreras.
