BACKGROUND: 

The City Council requested that an item come back to discuss and consider the creation of enforcement mechanisms that would require Purpose Built Student Housing Developments to provide alternative housing options to lease holders if the development has not received a certificate of occupancy by the original agreed upon move-in date. 

 

In October of 2016 the City Council created the Student Housing Subcommittee.  Council Members serving on the committee are: Mayor Thomaides, Mayor Pro Tem Hughson and Council Member Derrick.
