BACKGROUND:
Our Appraisal District is governed by a Board of seven Directors. Members of the Board serve two year terms beginning on January 1 of even numbered years. Beginning January, 2017 the Hays CAD Board began meeting bi-monthly at 4:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month unless otherwise posted. Meetings are held in the boardroom of the appraisal district, located at 21001 N IH 35 Kyle, Texas. Previous Council Member Shane Scott has been serving on this board of directors and his term will end at the end of this year.
The Council will need to nominate a candidate or candidates to submit to the Chief Appraiser.
