BACKGROUND:
The Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative (BuyBoard) has awarded contract #491-15 for Fire Apparatus to Grande Truck Center located in San Antonio, Texas. We are purchasing one (1) Six-Yard Dump Truck in the amount of $77,567.00. Warren Truck and Trailer, LLC, will provide the dump body and related equipment to Grande Truck Center for outfitting.
(BuyBoard includes the F750 truck in the BuyBoard contract #491-15 for Fire Apparatus due to truck body size and does not limit truck body use to Fire applications only.)
This dump truck will be new to the fleet and will be utilized by the Public Services Department, Drainage Division, (Drainage Crew) to help maintain drainage channels, detention ponds, and other drainage features that require spoils to be hauled off-site. This includes drainage construction projects. The dump truck will also be used to haul street sweeping debris to Texas Disposal Systems for disposal as needed.
