COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ELEMENT(s): Environmental and Resource Protection Goal 1: Public and private sectors working together to protect water quality and facilitating appropriate development in the San Marcos and Blanco River watersheds, and over the Edwards Aquifer using measurable and scientific methods.

 

 

 

BACKGROUND:  This interlocal agreement is for the City of San Marcos to participate in the cost of sampling and analysis to further understand the ground and surface water quality in the vicinity of the Paso Robles development.  This will be the second study conducted in this area, the first was conducted to establish a baseline understanding of water quality prior to construction though the analysis of water samples from wells that withdraw water from the Edwards Aquifer up gradient and down gradient from the Paso Robles development and associated golf course.
