Background Information:
The Federal Government is currently auditing the city's processes under our CDBG-MIT grant. They discovered that our 2020 Resolution was outdated as to membership and recommended the city be more intentional about the audit functions of the Committee.
We are recommending the following Resolution. This Resolution removes the Director of Public Safety as a voting member as we no longer have that position. It also states the Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem, Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem or another City Council Member appointed by the City Council if there is no Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem, the City Manager, all Assistant City Managers, and the Finance Director shall be voting members of the Finance and Audit Committee.
