BACKGROUND:
Pursuant with Section 82.189 of the San Marcos City Code, the installation of time-restricted, residential permit parking requires establishment by ordinance.
Residents on the 100-200 block of Mandalay Lane (from north dead end to West Bluebonnet Dr.) are requesting parking restrictions to require residential parking permits from 8AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
The request has been reviewed by City staff and meets all the requirements set forth in the Residential Parking Permit Ordinance 2014-01.  City staff recommends approval of the residential parking permit on the 100-200 block of Mandalay Lane from 8AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. More specifically, the proposed parking restriction will remove the existing No Parking restriction on the south side of Mandalay Lane from north dead end to Quail Creek Drive and apply a new Residential Parking Permit restriction on both sides of the same segment.  Additionally, a Residential Parking Restriction will be installed on the north side of Mandalay Lane from Quail Creek Drive to West Bluebonnet Dr.
The traffic engineer will amend the traffic register to reflect the change.
