Background Information:
On April 30, 2024, Eric Martinez with Mano Amiga submitted a petition to repeal adoption of the police officers’ civil service law (Chapter 143 Texas Local Government Code).
On June 13th, the City Clerk certified the petition as invalid based on having an insufficient number of signatures of qualified San Marcos voters.
