Background Information:
City Council held a public hearing and approved the first reading of the Ordinance on March 3, 2026.

City Council expressed interest in adding formalized procedures for responding to an active shooter incident. Staff compiled the existing actions into a formal policy, ensuring alignment with HR guidelines, and the Emergency Management Department reviewed and agreed with the content.
