Background Information:
San Marcos Electric Utility is responsible for maintaining its high voltage power transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relays as well as its medium voltage distribution substation components. Currently, this work is performed by the Lower Colorado River Authority through a council approved interlocal agreement. SMEU personnel have the ability to perform this work internally, have established a maintenance process, and have developed an equipment list necessary to perform these tasks internally.
