Background Information:
Mayor Pro Tem Scott has resigned from the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) General Assembly, a position previously held by Assistant City Manager Chase Stapp. Mayor Pro Tem Scott had volunteered to fill the position when Mr. Stapp retired from the city.

General Assembly Responsibilities
Members of the CAPCOG General Assembly do the following:
1. establish the overall policies and specific objectives of the Council;
2. adopt an annual budget for the Council;
3. create, appoint members to, fill vacancies in, and specify the duties of permanent committees of the General Assembly;
4. review, on its own motion or at the request of the Executive Committee or any permanent committee of the General Assembly, any action of the Executive Committee or permanent committee.
