Consider approval of Resolution 2016-122R, approving the filing of an application with the Texas Water Development Board seeking financial assistance for the Blanco and San Marcos Rivers Flood Mitigation Project in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000 in 2017 Clean Water State Revolving Funds; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to act on the City's behalf with regard to the submission of the application and all other matters relative to the furnishing of information and executing documents that may be required in connection with the preparation and filing of the application for financial assistance and the rules of the Texas Water Development Board; designating firms and individuals authorized and directed to assist the City in the preparation and submission of the application for financial assistance and to appear on behalf of and represent the City in any hearing held by the Texas Water Development Board on the application; and declaring an effective date.

BACKGROUND:
In May the City submitted a Project Information Form (PIF) to the Texas Water Development Board for a project to plan, design and construct stormwater improvements in the area surrounding the confluence of the Blanco and San Marcos Rivers to address repeated flooding. Stormwater improvements also include the acquisition of property.
