Background Information:
In August of 2024, the Arts Commission approved sending a call for artist qualifications for a mosaic art project to be installed on the risers of the steps at the Price Center, a city building, located at 222 W. San Antonio Street.
A regional call for qualifications went out in April 2025 seeking qualified applicants living within 100 miles of San Marcos. The project budget of $15,000 is inclusive of all labor and materials for the mosaic that must last at least 25 years in outdoor conditions with minimal maintenance.
