Background Information:
Section 12.12 of the City Charter requires that the City Council shall appoint a Charter Review Commission comprised of seven citizens to review the Charter at least every four years.
City Council previously appointed seven citizens to serve on the Commission.
The Commission has conducted five meetings to date and the chair of the Commission, John Thomaides, will present an interim update regarding the progress of its review at this meeting.
In accordance with Section 12.12, the Chair of the Commission will present a final report of its findings and recommendations for City Council consideration in May.
