BACKGROUND:

With the completion of the newly constructed Texas State transit stop at the intersection of Guadalupe Street and Woods Street, the intersection is experiencing continuous passenger loading and unloading activities in the middle of the intersection which is creating a roadway hazard.   To eliminate this hazard, City staff recommends installing a No Parking, No Standing, No Stopping, Tow-Away Zone sign to inform the public that these activities will be unlawful at all times on the north corner of the Guadalupe Street and Woods Street intersection. Section 82.172 of the City Code provides that it is unlawful for a person to stop, park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, on a street that leaves available less than 14 feet of the width of the street.
The traffic engineer will amend the Traffic Register to reflect the change.
