BACKGROUND:

Pursuant with Sec. 82.161, any street, alley or city-owned property or part thereof may be designated as a no parking tow-away zone by separate ordinance.
Fredericksburg Street is 19 feet wide with a no parking restriction on east side. With on street parking on the west side of the street, the minimum 14 feet clearance for through traffic, which is required by Sec. 82.172, cannot be achieved. City staff recommends a No Parking, Tow-Away restriction anytime on the west side of the street.  On the east side of the street, City staff recommends modifying the existing No Parking restriction to include a Tow-Away zone.
Pursuant with 82.067- The traffic engineer shall develop and maintain a traffic register containing a record of every location in the city where any traffic control device or special regulation is made applicable, whether by ordinance or by the traffic engineer's authority established under this chapter.
