Background Information:
The Backup Solution is a subscription to back up all software, applications, and folders for the City. The product will take daily snapshots to allow Information Technologies to bring all services up quickly with minimal loss in case of an emergency.
The cost is $152,164.84 over 5 years, on Texas DIR contract DIR TSO 3944. By paying 5 years upfront the city takes advantage of the vendor's discount of 5% to 8% per year on the annual reoccurring support costs.
