Background Information:
In accordance with the attached City Council policy for the naming of City Parks and Facilities, staff is submitting the attached request from the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance (SMGA) to formally name the tract commonly known as the "Buie Tract," the "River Recharge Natural Area".

Under the current policy only names submitted to the City Manager shall be considered by the City Council. It is due to the provision that this request has not been provided to the Parks and Recreation Board for discussion or recommendation prior to coming before the City Council.
