Prior Council Action: On November 19, 2024 Council approved Resolution 2024-223R authorizing the filing of an application with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) seeking financial assistance in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00 to provide for the costs of planning and design services related to the FM1978 Water Reclamation Facility project.

In May 2024, Council approved a cost sharing agreement with multiple developers to help fund a new water reclamation facility in rapidly developing area in the southeast part of San Marcos. The new facility will allow the City to avoid multiple, small package plants throughout the area around and upstream of the San Marcos river.
